Is AMMO secure?
You bet it is. AMMO is extremely secure, having been audited by Trustwave, an international VISA, Mastercard security accreditation company (PCI) which sounds fancy because it is.
What does AMMO cost me?
IT'S FREEEEEEE!
You're thinking, "They give me all of this for free?"
We're shouting back "YES!" It's amazing.
The only time you will be charged is when you Lock and Load AMMO with your credit card, and even this is tiney tiny: A service fee of R3 is charged for every R100 loaded, and you'll be notified of this fee when you lock and load with your credit or cheque account card.
Note: your service provider will charge carrier costs for using the Internet. This cost can be verified by your service provider but should be in the range of a few cents per AMMO transaction.
What if I lose my phone?
Because your AMMO account is protected by a 5-digit pin, no one can access your account without knowing this number, so when you get a new phone you would simply download the application again, punch in your pin and carry on as usual. Unlike losing your money when you lose your wallet, your bucks will still be exactly where you left it!
What if I forget my pin?
Delete the application on your phone and then download it again by going to www.ammo.mobi in your phone browser. Follow the prompts to open the application again, enter your mobile number and your new PIN. Once logged in go to Profile > Change PIN.
Is my card information safe?
Simply put, card information is kept locked and encrypted on your phone in your pocket, protected by your pin and cannot be viewed by anyone, including AMMO and your network provider (safer than carrying your credit card)!
Are the banks behind this?
A banking institution is involved with every card transaction therefore giving you the peace of mind that security is industry standard.
What about my personal information?
Your personal information is never given to any other party, unless you specifically join / opt-in to a party's loyalty program.
Which phones work?
All mobile phones with WAP capabilities can download and use AMMO, including iPhones, which is awe-some!
